Perth & Kinross Council deliver UK first with EVO sensor rollout

We’re excited to launch EVO, our brand-new environmental sensor and even more excited to announce that Perth & Kinross Council is the first housing provider in the UK to put it into their properties.

EVO is a big leap forward in remote property monitoring. It’s been designed to make things simpler, cheaper and more scalable for housing providers. Unlike other solutions, EVO can be installed by anyone without the need for electricians. That means faster installs, lower costs, and the ability to scale quickly across a wide range of properties.

Perth & Kinross Council are really excited to be the first housing provider in the UK to use iOpt’s new EVO sensors. It’s not every day you get to lead the way with a product that’s genuinely making such a positive impact on social housing, especially with regulation changes and stricter requirements regarding damp and mould.

From day one it’s been a simple process and being able to run everything from our existing networks has made the process even easier. The actionable insights generated from the sensors have been coming through already and are proving very useful for the team. We’re seeing things earlier, making decisions quicker, and getting ahead of problems before they become costly.

Our proactive approach through the use of EVO sensors continues to improve the efficiency of our repairs and maintenance programmes which in turn, creates better and healthier living environments for our tenants.

The more sensors installed, the more data you gather. This leads to greater insights into your properties and allows you to make more effective decisions for your repairs and maintenance programs. From spotting early signs of damp and mould to helping temporary accommodation teams provide homes to those who need it the most, EVO is already delivering actionable insights for PKC.

This launch comes at a crucial time for the sector, with Awaab’s Law on the horizon. EVO helps social housing providers stay compliant by giving them the tools to spot problems earlier, respond faster, and maintain healthier homes for tenants.

We have a fantastic relationship with Perth & Kinross Council and it’s great to see them driving real change by being the first to install our EVO sensors. With our support, their proactive approach to repairs and maintenance over the last few years has delivered actions that have improved the fabric of their assets, made for more efficient budgeting and most importantly, creating healthier homes.

Now, with EVO installed, they’re able to do this at scale and see even greater results from the insights generated. It really is a proud moment to see our Scottish-made product being used by one of our Scottish customers.
