iOpt Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

iOpt Limited

Registered Office: 1/1, 14 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow City, G1 3NU, United Kingdom.

Introduction

Modern slavery is a serious crime that strips individuals of their freedom and dignity for the benefit of others. It remains a significant global issue, affecting millions of people, including within developed nations. Businesses are at risk of being linked to modern slavery both directly and indirectly through their operations and supply chains.

iOpt Limited maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are fully committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships, and to implementing effective systems and controls to prevent slavery and human trafficking taking place within our organisation or in our supply chains.

This statement sets out the steps we have taken to identify, assess, and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, and to ensure compliance with applicable UK and EU legislation.

Our Business and Supply Chains

iOpt provides monitoring services for large housing estate managers, enabling them to prevent damage to property and safeguard tenant health. Our operations are currently UK-based, with planned expansion into international markets.

We aim to establish relationships with suppliers that are founded on trust, integrity, and mutual benefit. Supplier selection and onboarding procedures include due diligence checks relating to legal compliance, ethical reputation, labour standards, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.

If we were ever made aware of allegations relating to slavery or human trafficking within our supply chain, we would act immediately to investigate, take corrective action, and report the matter to the relevant authorities.

Risk Assessment

During the last financial year, we conducted a risk assessment of our supply chain by considering:

  • The nature of services provided by suppliers.

  • The presence of vulnerable demographic groups within supply chains.

  • Information from media sources and reports from labour and human rights organisations.

This process informs our decisions on risk management measures and the controls we implement to reduce exposure to modern slavery risks.

Policies

We have established the following policies to support the identification and prevention of slavery and human trafficking:

  • Whistleblowing Policy – Employees, customers, and suppliers are encouraged to raise concerns about any suspected instance of modern slavery or human trafficking. Reports may be made confidentially, and whistleblowers are protected from retaliation.

  • Code of Conduct – This code clearly sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all employees, particularly when representing iOpt or engaging with suppliers. We emphasise the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical behaviour in all areas of operation.

  • Purchasing Code – Supplier contracts and procurement policies explicitly prohibit modern slavery and human trafficking, ensuring that these obligations are embedded within commercial arrangements.

Supplier Due Diligence

We carry out due diligence on all new suppliers during onboarding and continue to review existing suppliers at regular intervals. This process includes:

  • Assessing potential risks in the services provided.

  • Auditing suppliers’ health and safety practices, labour relations, and employment contracts.

  • Requiring remedial action where employment practices are found to be inadequate.

  • Applying sanctions against suppliers who fail to make improvements in line with our requirements.

We require all suppliers to confirm that:

  • They do not use forced, compulsory, or bonded labour.

  • Their employees work voluntarily, with the right to leave employment upon reasonable notice.

  • Every employee has a written contract of employment with fair terms and notice provisions.

  • No deposits, financial bonds, or wage withholdings are imposed as conditions of employment.

  • Employees are not required to surrender passports or work permits as a condition of employment.

Commitment

iOpt is committed to reducing the risk of modern slavery wherever possible. We expect our employees and suppliers to share this commitment, and we encourage the reporting of concerns at any stage of the supply chain. We will not tolerate any form of modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations.
